Do I need Track Insurance?

We commonly get this question.  LGGPR does NOT provide any track insurance for your cars.  It is up to YOU to check your insurance policy and confirm it will cover your car in a track event.  Not all insurance policies are created equally, so don’t ASSUME.

If you are in need of insurance, OpenTrack does offer specific Track Insurance.  We have no affiliation with them, but you can learn more on here:  opentrack.com

I have heard several different stories from other drivers.  I have heard insurance for our event as low as $250 and as high as $500.  I believe it depends a lot on what car you have and how much insurance you are buying.  I have also heard some cars are not on their list but if you request them to add it they will consider it.

FYI, I just ordered track day insurance through Opentrack. $30K coverage with 10% deductable for 3 days and 2 drivers. Was about $250.00 They also offer 1m liability for about $100 more which I did not take as we have an umbrella policy. I also looked at RLI. It was about the same per driver but you need 2 policies for 2 drivers. Both companies list LGGPR as a covered track.

Other Companies we have heard about

LGGPR has no affiliation with any of these track insurances.  We are providing this information for the convenience of our drivers.
