For Spectators and other needs
General Spectator Camping
- ALL GENERAL SPECTATOR CAMPING REQUIRES RESERVATIONS.
- Reservations will be handled through the Garnett City Hall. They can be contacted at 785-448-5496.
- The General Spectator camping area is on top of the hill on the east side of the track.
- There is a limited number of sites
- All campers must be self-contained
- Tent camping is allowed
- The trailer can be left attached on the general specator camp-sites.
Every year we get questions about where to camp. Here are the options I know of:
At the track: There is self contained camping on the hill above the paddock area. If you interested in that area, please contact the City of Garnett to make a reservation. 785-448-5496
At South Lake: There are a few spots at the south lake, called Crystal Lake, but they fill up very fast.
At the Reservoir: Cedar Valley Reservoir is about 13 miles south of Garnett.
Other Camping Information
- Paddock camping is located in the back of the staging area is reserved for drivers of Group E & V
- All Paddock Camping must be reserved through the online registration at MotorsportsReg.com
- The paddock sites are directly off the track. These are tailgating sites that you can watch the event from. The car trailer would have to be detached and parked nearby (within eyesight). These sites are about 45 feet deep.
- Check the Registration site for prices on camping in the Paddock.
- All camping sites will be available on a first come first serve basis in designated camp-sites only.
- This event is held at the city park and there is a dump station within the park.
- There are no hookups available.
- There is no camping available on the inside of the course.
- Drinkable water is available by the park entrance (by the swimming pool).
- Generator’s are allowed and can run all night.
- No camp-fires allowed other than pre-existing fire rings from the City of Garnett.

Be sure to tell them you are with the Grand Prix group special to get the $63 per night rate. They also have 11 campsites with full hookups. There is a bar available but no food.
