BOSS MUSTANGS TO BE CELEBRATED AT LAKE GARNETT

Mustang is the featured marque at this year’s event, and organizers of the LGGPR are putting out a call to owners of all years of Boss 302, Boss 351, and Boss 429 Mustangs – in street trim or race versions. Participants and Mustang enthusiasts will be treated to special displays and track groups dedicated to the “World’s Most Popular Ponycar”.

Scott Ward, LGGPR President said, “The Mustang crowd has consistently been one of the largest supporting groups at the Revival, and we felt it was fitting to give them the honor of being the featured marque this year, especially since one of their most famous editions turns 50.”

Mustangs from all eras have been successfully campaigned in road racing throughout the decades, but the original Boss 302’s specifically were known for being fiercely competitive in the SCCA Trans-Am series, piloted by such revered racers as Parnelli Jones, George Follmer, and Dan Gurney. A number of these cars are still being vintage raced today, and they’ll be thundering around the historic Lake Garnett road course in October.

Please help us share the word far & wide and extend invitations to any Boss Mustang owners you may know. Registration for the 2019 LGGPR opens on May 1st and will run through August 1st. For full details, see the updated Registration Page at www.lggpr.org.
